From Beginning to End: The Prospect of Story

First, rest assured that this blog remains the place to find up-to-the-minute news and other bits of interest concerning me and my various writing adventures. However, I've decided to open another vein as well. You can now find me on Substack (in addition to Facebook and Instagram).

I've been a Substack browser for a while, and I like the streamlined feel of the place, so I figure why not jump in waist deep instead of just wading in the shallows. Be among the first to enjoy my inaugural post, which, perhaps confusingly, shares a title with this very blog post. It's an article about the craft of writing: nothing more, nothing less. I hope you enjoy it, and if you're a writer, I hope you take something useful away from it.

My thinking is that Substack will be where I post article- or essay-style pieces, while what I post here will remain a bit looser and informative. I may take occasional advantage of Substack's Note feature for shorter blurt-outs as well.
